Issue date: 11/5/09 Section: Police Blotter
Oct. 28
At 10:30 p.m., two officers responded to a drug case in Sutherland Hall. The officers arrived on scene and met with a Resident Assistant who said he was doing rounds and smelt the odor of burnt marijuana coming from a room.
The officers went to the room, where they didn't see any lights on or hear any noise. The officer noticed a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the room. After knocking on the door, the officer did not receive an answer and didn't notice any movement inside the room. Several more knocks were made, with no answer. It appeared the tenants were either out of the room or sleeping.
