An officer was on money escort duty in downtown Eau Claire when he received a message from the Communication Center at 12:41 p.m. He was informed of a possible drug case occurring at Chancellor's Hall. The report said six men in their early 20s were possibly smoking marijuana near the north side of the building.
The officer arrived at Chancellor's Hall at 1:06 p.m. but was unable to locate anyone matching the description of the men. The officer contacted two RAs, who said the men had left at about 12:53 p.m. They had reportedly left the Chancellors Hall area and walked to the grassy area behind Bridgman Hall.
