Yes, nontraditional students do find challenges in returning to school. Returning after a break can feel daunting and be very intimidating.

My office, Nontraditional Student Services, exists to assist adults in returning to school, getting connected to campus resources and services, meeting other nontraditional students and basically assisting adult students with obstacles they may encounter which might prevent them from being successful students at UW-Eau Claire.

My office is the "go-to place" for students to ask any question that they may feel is too silly to ask anyone else. If you are a nontraditional student or a faculty or staff member who is not aware of the wide array of assistance that is offered through Nontraditional Student Services, check out our Web site at: www.uwec.edu/advising/nss/index.htm. Or better yet - call to make an appointment to come in and visit with me. I love assisting nontraditional students! Oh, and Troy, I am also the adviser to special students.
