UW-Eau Claire will kick off National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week on Oct. 3, with the fifth annual Fall Crawl 5k run/walk. The event is in memory of Michael Noll, an Eau Claire student who died in 2002.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. in the Haas Fine Art's parking lot. The run/walk will begin at 10 a.m. Awards will be given for best times as well as a drawing for a prize. Registration costs $20 per person and will go to UW - Eau Claire's Center for Alcohol Studies and Education.

The event is sponsored partly by Jeff and Carol Noll, Michael's parents, in memory of their son, as well as by CASE, Student Senate, the athletics department and University Recreation and Sport Facilities.
