Thursday, Sept. 17

At 11:24 p.m. an officer driving west on Putnam Drive approached an intersection and saw a Jeep Cherokee nearing the same intersection. The officer noticed the vehicle had stopped near a parked vehicle and that the two vehicles were very close.

After continuing down the road, the officer heard what sounded like metal on metal and looked up to see the Jeep driving away. The officer drove back to the parked car and noticed the driver's side mirror was bent toward the vehicle's hood.

The officer searched for the Jeep but was unable to locate it. The Eau Claire Police Department was notified of the vehicle in their jurisdiction, but the Jeep was never found.
