Activities can be costly to those not affiliated with the university

Did you know that UW-Eau Claire is more expensive than Yale University? It's true. It costs more to attend a Blugold football game at Carson Park than to watch the Yale Bulldogs play at the Yale Bowl.
While UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff receive discounted tickets and students attend for free, adults who are not affiliated with the university pay $8 to watch the Blugolds take to the gridiron. A youth ticket is $4. At Yale, an adult pays $7 to watch the Bulldogs battle an Ivy League opponent at the Yale Bowl. A youth ticket is free at Yale. Princeton also charges $7 for an adult ticket.
Nevertheless, when it costs more to watch college football at Carson Park than at the Yale Bowl, we have a problem. Eau Claire residents want to participate in the university activities, but we are being priced out. Well, there's always Yale, I suppose.

... you left out the part about the $15 charge for parking!
And Yale owns their football stadium... UWEC does not.

The fee to see a Blugold Football game at Carson Park and the fee to see a Bulldog Football game at the Yale Bowl does not equal UW-Eau Claire being more expensive than Yale. (Continued…)
