All faculty, staff and students will have the opportunity to receive a flu shot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sept. 17 in the Badger Room of Davies Center, according to a university press release. The Student Health Service will offer the seasonal flu shots to students for $15 and to faculty and staff for $20.

It is recommended that people with high risks of flu complications, including individuals with diabetes, heart or lung disease, and Crohn's disease, get the shot right away.

The vaccine for the H1N1 flu is expected to be available in the middle of October. More flu shot clinics are planned for the future.
