The Association of American Colleges and Universities has selected UW-Eau Claire to serve as a pilot for its program to enhance students' learning. According to the AAC&U Web site, the program "Give Students a Compass: A Tri-State LEAP Partnership for College Learning, General Education and Underserved Student Success," will be initiated in nine universities throughout Wisconsin, Oregon and California.
The project will focus on redesigning general education and making the university process easier to navigate. It will also examine the success of underserved student groups at the institutions and strive to make improvements in that sector.
