False alarm
Issue date: 9/10/09 Section: Police Blotter
An officer received a phone call from a custodian in the library at 12:20 a.m. After talking with the custodian, the officer was informed that the trouble alarm had been activated, and the custodian asked if the officer could turn it off. From there the officer located the alarm, silenced it and reset the system.
After being reset, the alarm stated it was working normally. The officer noted that this was the third time in the last week the alarm had done this, and each time the alarm displayed the same message: "Fourth floor smoke no response."
