A pedestrian found a dog sitting alone in a van in the Hibbard parking lot and reported it to police at 10:43 a.m. She said she had seen the dog in the van as early as 8:30 a.m.
From there the officer located the van where the dog was sleeping. It appeared healthy, although it was 74 degrees outside and sunny. After finding out who the owner was, the officer requested that the man check on his dog and remove him from the van if he would be away any longer.
After a few minutes the owner arrived and took his dog home.

At 3 a.m., a University officer was contacted by the Eau Claire Police Department requesting assistance on a case they were working on. About an hour later they met with an officer who reported he witnessed some subjects throwing a bicycle off the Water Street Bridge.
One of the subjects involved told officers he thought the bicycle was from the northwest Haas Fine Arts Center racks, but he wasn't sure. He also said the bicycle was unlocked and may have been blue.
