Don't you eat apples?
Mon., April 27

At 7:28 p.m., an officer went to the Garfield Avenue hill because it had been reported that two men were throwing items at vehicles. A description of the men and their clothing was given to the officer, who then checked the area and spoke with people there. No one had seen anything.

The officer also called the complainant, who told him that the subjects didn't throw anything at him or his vehicle. He said he was walking in the area and saw the subjects throwing apples and other items.

The officer checked the area and didn't locate any subjects, but did find some apples in the middle of the hill.

A little push
Friday, April 24

At 4:45 p.m., an officer was contacted by an Eau Claire county Sheriff deputy, who used his car's bumper to move a disabled vehicle from West Clairemont Avenue onto University Drive. He had to go to a priority call, but placed a road flare behind the vehicle.

The officer went to University Drive, where the disabled car was being worked on. He spoke with the driver, who said it started and she was able to drive away.

The road flare was still active and the officer used an extinguisher to put it out.
