We're running for student government to continue the work we've started with issues such as opposing the Chapter 17 & 18 Revisions, working with students, landlords and the city to set up a landlord and tenant's union, improving UW-Eau Claire's environmental policies, and working to increase student participation in all areas of University government. We're sure we won't always agree with you, but you can be sure that we will always be open to your questions, concerns and suggestions. We would be honored to have your support on April 13-15.

Editor's note: Aaron Brewster is also running as an off-campus senator.

We need strong leadership in student government in order to advocate for higher education support from the state, connect Student Senate to the actual students, and to bring innovation and creative ideas to campus problems. There needs to be real conversation on this campus collecting all ideas and choosing the course of action that is in the best interest of the students. If you have any comments or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail at sorellap@uwec.edu.

Name: Casey Driscoll
Vice-presidential candidate

Senior
Major: History Liberal Arts
Campus Involvement: 3rd Year RA, 3rd Year Momentum Monday, Blugold Mascot, New Davies Planning

I want to become Student Senate vice president because I want to help change the communication on campus. There are many well-intentioned people, but from my experience there is only a small group that understands how the big picture works. If we break things down and holistically educate ourselves to become politically savvy, we can make change in this state. As an executive in senate I would hope to reignite communication with the students and the state to develop accessibility to higher education for the betterment of all.

Amber Bretl and I are running for Student Senate vice president and president to represent your needs. We have and will continue to passionately represent the students of UW-Eau Claire. Our passion has driven us towards this campaign, and our accomplishments in Student Senate have given us the confidence to lead Eau Claire students in the right direction. The students of Eau Claire have the perseverance to continue through the state's budget cuts. We all came to this University because of what it could provide for our future. Now we'll work to preserve our campus while continuing to move Eau Claire forward.
