The GPS made me do it...
Tuesday, March 2

Around 9:45 p.m., a call was placed to the communication center from a woman who said she witnessed a car driving on the footbridge. An officer contacted the woman to find out more information.
She said that while walking on the footbridge, she saw a dark-colored vehicle drive from Haas Fine Arts Center, past her, and to the end of the footbridge before backing up to Water Street.
The woman said while backing up, the driver said he was not going to hit anyone and that his GPS made him come this way. The woman said she saw the vehicle turn east on Water Street and drove across the bridge.
The officer located the driver using his license plate number and called his registered phone number, which was no longer in service.

Bush league
Friday, March 6

At 2:30 a.m., an officer saw three men walking on the south sidewalk of Water Street near the Haas Fine Arts parking lot. One of the men appeared to pull a bush between the sidewalk and the parking lot.
The man then fell backwards on the sidewalk. The officer pulled into the area and saw that the top sections of the bush were broken and laying on the sidewalk.
The officer stopped the man, who was intoxicated. The man admitted to breaking the bush and said he was not angry, just being stupid and knew it was wrong to do so.
The officer issued a citation to the man for vandalism. The man apologized for his actions and was released.
