Not me
Friday, Feb. 13

At 1:34 a.m., a student patrol told two officers that a man had urinated next to Haas Fine Arts Center. The man was walking in a group of three on the footbridge towards Garfield Avenue. The officers located the group and stopped them by Thomas Hall. All three denied urinating outside. The officer could smell alcohol coming from the men. The officer also noted that all three men had bloodshot eyes and were slurring their speech. The student patrol arrived and pointed out the man who had urinated. The officer asked the man if he had urinated outside and the man admitted to doing so. He told the officer he had to use the restroom but couldn't hold it.

All of the men submitted to preliminary breath tests, registering a .10, a .15 and a .08. All three of the men were issued citations for underage drinking, two of them first offenses and one a second offense. The man who had urinated was verbally warned about deposit of human waste.

God forbid the university just install a couple of porta-johns near Fine Arts. It's not as if this is some sort of new phenomenon.

If the cops and the university are going to continue ignoring the house parties that go on every single weekend, they might as well quit picking on those people with small bladders and/or enough sense to stick to beer rather than pounding the hard stuff all night long. (Continued…)
