A forum presented on Feb. 18, titled "We've elected a black president, where do we go from here; race relations and the Obama effect," will feature several faculty members who will participate in the discussion. It will be from noon to 2 p.m. in Schofield Auditorium.
On Feb. 19 a "Soul Food Buffet" will be offered from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Dulany in Davies. A cultural unique menu will be offered, including soul food and Southern soups.
UW-Eau Claire's Black Student Association will hold a panel discussion titled "On Being Black at UW-Eau Claire" from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 26 in Presidents Room of Davies.
Webster tells students on campus to take advantage of the opportunities presented in Black History Month.
"Take advantage of the courses that are offered, know about the lack of diverse history, seek out opportunities on and off campus to learn more," she said.
