Best date

"On Valentine's Day, a friend of mine got dumped by his girlfriend of two years. He had all these big plans and was really upset, so he ended up taking me out instead. We got his dad's Porsche for the evening, went to the Palomino for a hugely expensive dinner, went to the Depot in Minneapolis to go ice skating and then Cafe Latte for dessert. We pretended like we were having 'nothing fights' all night long in public, which clearly made everyone else around us, all couples on dates, really uncomfortable. People were literally trying to ice skate away from us because we were 'that couple.' It was super fun."

Worst date

"I went to visit my girlfriend's parents for the first time. I had to use their bathroom and was in there for a while. Afterwards, I realized I should have courtesy flushed once or twice, because the toilet got clogged while trying to flush, and for about 10 minutes I kept trying to get the toilet to flush. In the next room, my girlfriend and her dad were laughing hysterically about something, I didn't know what. I was sure they could hear me trying to flush about three dozen times through the door. I finally had to ask for a plunger, but I was really embarrassed by my first impression. I later realized they were laughing at something completely unrelated to my problem."
