Li-Ying Bao recently finished a Christmas book with an environmental message. Bao, an associate professor of art and design, wrote the book with help from many UW- Eau Claire staff and students.

The foreign language department translated text for the book, titled "Riding with Santa." Illustrations were done by art and design students.

In the story, Santa flies over the earth and sees many things changing in the environment. On his journey, Santa encounters children who share his concerns about the planet and the direction it is going.

The book will also be on sale during this week in Davies Center and is also available online at https://www.a3animation.com/products.htm.

To support sustainability efforts being developed on campus, $10 from each book sold will be donated to Eau Claire's Campus Sustainability Initiatives Fund.
