Issue date: 12/4/08 Section: University Briefs
Winter parking regulations for both vehicles and bicycles are in effect for various lots around campus.
Vehicles will be ticketed $20 if found parked between the hours of 1 a.m. and 7 a.m., seven days a week, in any metered parking spot located in certain lots, including University Drive, in front of Chancellors, Oakridge, and Bridgman Halls; University Drive, in front of Olson; Garfield Avenue, in front of Putnam and Katharine Thomas Halls; behind Hilltop Center; and Towers Circle, but only the 20 minute meters along the building.
These vehicle parking regulations will be in effect through March 13, 2009.
Facilities personnel have removed the portable racks that were used for overflow bike parking, some of which were relocated to the southwest end of the Towers Hall lot.
The Parking Coordinator will work with the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor throughout the winter to determine future biking options.
