At 12:26 a.m., a student patrol notified an officer that there was a man lying in the bike rack in front of Schofield Hall. By the time the officer arrived at the rack, the man had gotten up and was walking away. The officer caught up to the man, who submitted to a preliminary breath test of .29.
The officer gave the man a ride home, where the man realized he didn't have his wallet. The officer had placed the man's wallet on his squad car's lightbar before driving the man home. The officer retraced his route, found the wallet on State Street and then drove back to the man's house to return his wallet.
