At 10:37 p.m., an officer saw a vehicle roll through the stop sign at Garfield Avenue and Putnam Drive. While pursuing the vehicle, the officer noticed that one of the taillights wasn't lit.

The officer stopped the vehicle and told the driver about the taillight. The officer searched his record and revealed that the man's vehicle registration had expired in July 2008 and his license was suspended for failure to pay a forfeiture.

The officer issued the man written warnings for the defective taillights, driving without a license, failure to obey signs and non-registration. The officer issued him a citation for operating while suspended.

The man said a friend would arrive in an hour to pick him up and promised to park his car until then.
