Tuesday, Sept. 23

At 10:46 p.m., an officer on vehicle patrol noticed a vehicle in the Oak Ridge Lot drive on the sidewalk between the Oak Ridge and Towers lots. The vehicle then entered Towers Lot, where the officer stopped the driver.

The man said he knew he wasn't supposed to drive on sidewalks and had also seen the "No Vehicles Allowed" signs posted at each end of the sidewalk. The man told the officer he had been looking for a parking space and cut through the sidewalk so he didn't have to drive around to the lot's exit. The officer issued the man a citation for driving on the sidewalk.
