"I know even some of the workers at the cafeteria don't like it because of the hassle," Wagner said, adding that he's sure there are some people in support of it.

Sophomore Danielle Lahr, a cashier in The Terrace cafeteria, has worked there for about a year.

Before Trayless Tuesdays were implemented this semester, Lahr said she had briefly heard about plans for Trayless Tuesdays and there were a few experimental "trayless" days held last semester.

However, Lahr did agree with Wagner's opinion about cafeteria workers.

"It does make it a little bit harder for us (the workers)," Lahr said, adding that on Tuesday's there is often more food and plates left on the table for clean-up.

She hasn't eaten during Trayless Tuesday's this semester because it doesn't fit into her schedule.

However, Lahr said she was uncertain of her position about Trayless Tuesdays and needed more information about the energy and water saved.

Wagner said that he does not think the university would end Trayless Tuesdays without a back-up plan to save water and energy just because students do not like it. But this is where students could help, Wagner said.

"I think if enough students protested and came up with a different way to save water that would work for the university, I think they'd change it."
