Saturday, Sept. 27

At 1:07 a.m., an officer responded to Towers lobby after receiving a phone call that someone had thrown a rock at one of the windows and shattered it.

A man showed the officer the window, located to the right of the doors at the east entrance of Towers North. The man had not witnessed the event, but directed the officer to two witnesses who had. One women told the officer that three young men had been trying to get into the east entrance, though the doors were locked. The women told the men that they couldn't enter the building through those doors and should use the main entrance.

Shortly afterward, they heard a loud thud against the window before it shattered and believed the men had thrown a rock.

The officer also spoke with others, and then notified the University Mechanical Shop to service the window, which placed caution tape around the area and taped plastic around the window until it could be replaced the following Monday.
