"Jail and Bail is really fun," Lee said. "It's a way for faculty, administration and students to all come together for a good cause."

Higherground is hosting an event on Thursday called "Virgin Bourbon Street" starting at 8 p.m. Students will compete to see who can make the best "mocktail."

Lee thinks these events have helped really change the campus in the past couple of years.

"There is a myth that everyone drinks to excess. The reality is that we do have significant portion of the campus that drinks but it's smaller than what you would think," Lee said.

Statistics from the 2008 Core Alcohol Survey show that from 2002 to 2008, binge drinking has gone down almost 10 percent and underage students who consume alcohol have gone down 15 percent.

"Sixty percent of students drink less than three drinks per month. Students think that the perception of this school is that we are always partying, but that is just not true," senior Rachel Murray said, a peer educator for CASE.  "This campus has changed in the last couple of years."
