At 12:40 a.m., an officer on duty received a call from an RA stating a person was vomiting just outside the doors on the north side of Towers Hall South. The officer walked to the location from Towers Hall North and at about the same time he received the call, another officer was called in to assist and arrived shortly after.
The officer saw a man sitting on the ground outside of the doors and noticed there were several puddles of vomit on the ground and on the floor inside the building. The officer detected the odor of alcohol coming from the man. The man also was not wearing any shoes. Two other people were trying to help him get back to his dorm room and went up to a Towers room to retrieve the man's shoes.
The man submitted to a PBT test and registered a .14. The officer issued the man a citation for underage drinking, first offense. The officer and the two others then escorted the man back to his dorm in Sutherland Hall.
The Police Blotter is compiled from campus police files. All names have been withheld. To report suspicious activity, call the university police tipster line at 855-5555.
