Housing and Residence Life officials are encouraging students to keep track of their personal belongings after a series of thefts from residence halls during the last four weeks.

Flyers have appeared throughout the residence hall laundry rooms warning students not to leave items unattended. Since Nov. 17, there have been five theft cases in five different halls, totaling an estimated $300-worth of property, mostly clothing, according to University Police case logs.

University Police officials said the cases are still under investigation and could not be contacted for further information.
