The Spectator spoke with senior Rachel Tham, president of Two to Tango.

What is Two to Tango?

Two to Tango is a social dance group on campus that teaches dance, from the basics all the way to advanced moves. Anyone can come; you don't need a partner, special shoes or previous dance experience. About 50 people show up regularly.

What does Two To Tango do?

We offer weekly dance lessons, and sometimes we go on trips. Last week, we went to a tango workshop at the University of Minnesota. Today we're hosting a salsa dance at El Patio along with Student Organization of Latinos, Spanish Business Association and Latin American Studies Club.

When does the group meet?

We meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sundays in the McPhee Dance Studio.

How can someone get involved?

E-mail thamrl@uwec.edu or tango@uwec.edu. Sign up at the University Recreation & Sport Facilities office in Hilltop Center, or just show up. It costs $8 a semester or $15 a year and includes dance lessons as well as discounts on events, workshops and guest instructors.
