A verbal 'Fight Club'
Saturday, March 4
Issue date: 3/13/06 Section: Police Blotter
At about 1 a.m., an officer responded to a report from a student patrol worker of a possible fight on the footbridge.
The officer approached the bridge from the south (campus) side, while another officer responded from the north (Water Street) side; the two officers met in the middle of the bridge where they found two groups of people.
The officers separated the groups, identified them and determined that there was no fight; the two groups had only exchanged words. Apparently, the person who had caused the problem had left before the officers arrived.
The officers let the two groups go, and they continued in different directions.
