Where's the fire?

At 1:58 a.m. a University Police officer responded to a call from the Communications Center from a 911 hang-up on an emergency telephone at Haas Fine Arts Center. The 911 dispatcher had been unable to hear anything on
the line.
An Eau Claire police officer had checked the area and went to the university side of the Chippewa River to check two individuals crossing the footbridge.
The university officer, along with a University Police sergeant, checked the area and found no one. They spoke to the Eau Claire officer, who said he could not determine if the two individuals had pressed the
emergency button.
