"Through the center, we have access to individuals in the field who provide feedback and guidance to our faculty and students."
The accreditation process consisted of two parts, Johs-Artisensi said, a self-report as well as a review by members of the NAB board, which is conducted on a visit to the campus.
According to the board's academic accreditation site visit report, Eau Claire met all 10 criteria needed to become an accredited program and even surpassed some of the board's requirements.
"Visitors who did the site visit really appreciated what CHASE had to offer," she said. They even suggested sharing the model with other programs.
Johs-Artisensi said the next goal is to expand the program by increasing the program's enrollment as well as the number of teaching faculty.
"Health care administration is a noble profession, especially (for people) with a head for business and a heart for caring and (who want) to make a tremendous difference in people's lives."
