A level-three sex offender moved into an Eau Claire neighborhood on Wednesday.

Arron Rupert Ambrose, 49, will live on the 700 block of Hobart St. Hobart Street intersects Madison Street on the north side of Eau Claire.

Ambrose is currently on supervision through the Department of Corrections through Jan. 6, 2007.

Ambrose came to Eau Claire after serving prison time in the Georgia Penal System for child molestation, cruelty to children, aggravated assault, burglary and escape.

Local law enforcement is particularly concerned about Ambrose because he frequently changes his appearance, said Interim Chief of University Police, David Sprick.

Ambrose's victims came from a wide age range, Sprick said.

Any questions about Ambrose's release can be directed to Lt. John Arnette of the Eau Claire Police Department at 839-6217 or Gena Jarr of the Department of Corrections at 836-5476.
