Essay contest to offer scholarship prizes

UW-Eau Claire students are encouraged to enter the UW System's fifth annual Liberal Arts Essay Scholarship Competition for the opportunity to receive recognition and scholarships, according to a university press release.

Blugold Marching Band to perform in Zorn

Tickets still available for Tuesday's show

UW-Eau Claire's Blugold Marching Band will hold a stage performance Tuesday Nov. 3 in Zorn Arena. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will include classic rock hits and other popular songs, such as "Shout" and "Play that Funky Music." Songs in honor of the United States will also be performed.

Students in residence halls prepare for trick-or-treaters

R and F parking spaces open for use to families

The UW-Eau Claire residence halls are inviting elementary-age or younger trick-or-treaters to come to campus from 5 to 7 p.m. tomorrow evening. Bridgman, Sutherland, Oak Ridge, Chancellors, Putnam and Towers Halls, as well as the first two floors of Governors Hall, are all open for door-to-door trick-or-treating.

Foundation celebrates 50th anniversary

The UW-Eau Claire Foundation commemorated its 50th anniversary by recognizing eight former board presidents and chairs with the lifetime emeritus director title at its annual board meeting Oct. 16.
