Seven ounces discovered prepackaged for distribution

Facilities and Planning Management carpenters tearing up wooden decking near the Putnam Trail found more than rotten wood and rusty nails last week. According to a University Police report, the workers found a large bag containing almost seven ounces of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and other illegal drugs stuffed under decking approximately 500 yards west of the Putnam parking lot on Sept.

Proposals for the university's first long-term strategic plan encompassed Monday night's Student Senate meeting. UW-Eau Claire officials and students appeared before Senate to discuss their ideas and receive feedback. Since last spring, the university has been collaboratively creating a strategic vision of what UW-Eau Claire will be in the next decade.

Who says learning can't be stylish? Brightly colored walls, plush carpet, modern seating, patterned glass and chic wall dividers now adorn Schneider 203, the new Cargill Business Lab. "It's definitely not your standard classroom," said Dawna Drum, coordinator of instructional technology and Schneider's building manager.
