Whatever outdoor fun you're up for, Eau Claire offers plenty of options

Campus usually comes to life as the weather warms up, with many students covering the once-empty grass fields of the Campus Mall. Some students throw Frisbees, some use the time to study and others just bask in the sunlight. But campus isn't the only place where students can enjoy the weather.

Minneapolis-based band stays focused on presenting genre-bending music

The music of Halloween, Alaska has been featured on television dramas - including "The OC" and "Dawson's Creek" - but lead vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist James Diers said if the band's life was a show, he'd make it "Twin Peaks." "It was just a little bit darker and a little bit more esoteric, and the music was a lot slower," he said.

There is a song sung by Dolly Parton that accompanies the credits of "Transamerica" titled "Traveling Through." The song was an Oscar Nominee for Best Song in 2006, and rightfully so. It is hard to recall a movie's song that expresses where the film lies amongst past films of its nature.

The first thing I noticed about Pad Thai was the decorations. Beautiful fans lined the walls - all with images of Thailand - and their bright colors lit up what would otherwise be a slightly dim room. There was also an impressive display case, filled with porcelain dishes and dolls in traditional Thai dress.
