Men's, women's basketball teams ended their regular seasons Saturday

The men and women's UW-Eau Claire basketball teams took the game down to the wire on Saturday in a doubleheader against the UW-Whitewater Warhawks. Women's Basketball "Since it was Senior/Alumni Day, we talked a lot about playing for pride before the game," Blugolds coach Tonja Englund said.

Saturday night I found myself flipping channels back and forth - or just looking at one of three TVs in my living room, thanks to my roommate, who insists on having three TVs on next to each other showing different programs. I think it's a good idea, especially on a night when you have the Olympics, NBA All-star weekend festivities and some college basketball going on.

Team sends one to nationals

The Wrestling WIAC Conference Championships were held in the UW-Eau Claire McPhee Center on Sunday. The meet encompassed 10 weight classes and consisted of three simultaneous matches. The Blugolds finished fifth out of the seven schools. The team fell behind UW-La Crosse, 159, UW-Stevens Point, 119, UW-Whitewater, 84, and UW-Platteville, 78.
